built a reputation for discovering breakthrough phenomenon’s who have
transitioned from local recognition to international fame. Now with Atlanta’s
fashion industry on the rise, including the harboring of fashion anchors such
as SCAD Atlanta, Bauder College and America’s Mart, PERONI NastroAzzurro is
proud to announce the launch of the first PERONI Style Atlanta: Emerging
Designers Competition. Scheduled to take place at a private location, four of
Atlanta’s best emerging designers will showcase their spring / summer 2013
collection to a panel of fashion experts, with chances of winning a prize
package to jumpstart their career.

up and coming designers attended a casting call for their chances to compete as
a semi-finalist. PERONI NastroAzzurro and an expert team of fashion leaders
including Meredith Garcia of TheFashionList.com, Tenley Gilstrap of
SCAD-Atlanta, Ashley Skaggs of America’s Mart, and Joseph Smith of Konsortium
Koncepts selected four of Atlanta’s top designers to debut their collection
during the August premier show. Meredith Garcia states, “Assessing the talent
we saw at the open casting call, the showing was beyond impressive and we are
very excited to see what the four finalists have to offer in August.” Garcia
continues, “The designers were so impressive, I believe they could rival many
of those already established in the industry.”

“The PERONI Style Atlanta: Emerging Designers competition is anticipated to
launch a fashion movement the city has been eager to see for years.” Canal
continues, “This Milan-inspired show will assist young designers to break into
the competitive fashion industry by providing the resources and publicity
needed to garner recognition.”
PERONI Style
Atlanta: Emerging Designers Competition will take place on Thursday, August 16,
2012 at a private location. Over 300 leaders in the fashion and entertainment
communities will come out and witness the birth of Atlanta’s growing fashion
scene; initiating the much needed push to bring Atlanta’s fashion industry
together while acknowledging the growing talent in the community.
